BOOK CLUB

A pro-tem committee with Tan Sri Soong Siew Hoong as chairman was appoited on October 13, 1987 to look into th registration of the Petaling Jaya Book Club, as the library was to be called, under the Societies Act 1966. The purpose of the club was to foster good reading habits among the people of Petaling Jaya MPPJ by providing a conducive space for reading and borrowing books. In line with its commitment to setting up thepublic library, MPPJ temporarily houses the Book Club on the second floor of its building in Petaling Jaya.
